Claude Opus 4.7

TL;DR

While developers celebrate Opus 4.7's advanced coding logic and visual design improvements, they are sharply critical of its massive token consumption and specific performance regressions in long-context retrieval tasks.

  • I’m honestly hoping 4.7 is a model focused more on token and compute efficiency without being a downgrade in output

  • Been playing with it for a few hours, no complaints. It's completed all the tasks I've asked it to do.

  • Im guessing it will be something like an interactive UI editor that you can prompt to create one from scratch and then easily edit it the way you want by clicking/selecting an Item or area and telling the model what to change there , drag and drop objects etc.

  • It's been sounding like GPT 5.5 is going to be more like Mythos than Opus 4.7. Crazy to think about.

  • Using Claude to control everything is not the best way to do it. The best is use Claude as a administrator or a specialist. You can construct some Python script to do the actions. Buy, Sell, the strategy itself and the main logic. With that you can create a closed box with all security needed to protect your trading. Claude will act as an control manager, collecting all the information, enrich, take the decisions and using the scripts to manage all control. This is a better and work solution. You can still use DB or DuckBD. Nate, this is an amazing project. Thanks for sharing that.

  • This is awesome, I told it to deploy container to my Proxmox server, and also implemented obsidian. Let's see how good this will get in the next few weeks.
